Trimmed my grape vines , got to wondering if they could be used to smoke something??

When I was a kid I tried smoking a dried up grape vine.
Made cough like I was going the throw a lung.
So I stick to pellets and sawdust now...

Here's what my chart says: like fruitwood but tart.Sweeter and milder than hickory.Chicken, pork and fish.

Lol, we must be related, me, not grape vine, but eucalyptus , the bark comes off in rolls, and pieces of hemp rope..later, tea..made my nostrils shed orange snot

Thanks, think I'll pull them out of the burn pile and try them with something eventually

I use vines and it is my go-to if I want something a bit sweeter but don't want to go with apple. If I have peach I go with that over the grape.
Guess I'll get them out of the burn pile, put them to good use instead! Thanks...got some peach too, just haven't tried it yet..just getting my toes wet in smoking!
