Haven't heard anything about them but stopped at a store I just found near me after work and picked up the pizza oven attachment for my danial boon and seen them there. 2 for 30 bucks.
Figured why not. So far my favorite is prolly the Louisiana competition blend. They don't carry that brand and its a far drive where I got it. Forget what I paid for them.
I didn't know that pellets was not 100% same wood. I figured cherry would be cherry and so on. Are all pellets like this?
Anyone try gmg brand pellets?
Itching to try lumberjack as I hear that name come up often but haven't found a place yet that sells them.

I use GMG pellets in my Davy Crockett grill. Got a deal black friday for $9 per bag.
You are right, they are a base wood with some flavor wood. But in a pellet grill I don't expect as much smoke flavor from the pellets as I do from my Amazin pellet tray or Smokin-it Smoker. I use Lumberjack 100% apple wood pellets (that have no filler wood) in the Amazin and whole wood chunks in the Smokin-it.

There are some pellets out there that will use a cheaper filler wood for their particular pellet. You kind of just have to do your research and look to see who makes quality pellets. There are quite a few posts that you can search to help with this and many posters have some great recommendations. I can’t remember who makes it but I was just reading the other day that someone made a pellet with more of another flavor wood then what the wood pellet was supposed to be.
