Jeremy you can bring it to my shop! Oh wait I don't have a shop anymore just a garage! There's still space for it and the doors big enough, and I have access to a crane. I'll even let you use it whenever you want!
That would be a great idea if you were just a couple thousand miles closer - that would be a long ride several times a week!

Nice looking planer!!!

When I had my Cabinet shop, my Planer was probably smaller than yours (24" wide), but I wouldn't buy one without the serrated & segmented roller either, because I used to edge plane 4 rails or stiles or trim at the same time. That kept them from tilting, and if it was only a serrated roller, the feeder would grab the highest, and leave the lowest behind.

Nice Find!!!

BTW: What's the throat distance on that Bandsaw?

Now I can finally make full use of the big jointer I fixed up

I don't have any recent pics but these two were right after I got it.

The bandsaw is only a 20" - if I ever find a really good deal on a 36 I'll pick it up but so far that hasn't happened...

LOL---That jointer brings back memories. The guy I worked for before I started my own cabinet shop had a big old "Oliver", with 12' of tables. It looked like a huge anvil. It had old Babbit bearings, and they were getting bad. It shook the whole shop when you cranked it up. Took about 10 seconds to come to full speed, and more than a minute to come to a full stop. He sold it, and we moved it out of the shop by jacking it up, and putting it on pipes. Then rolling it on the pipes, and keep on moving the back pipe to the front. It was a small shop, and when we wanted to joint boards over 10' long, we had to put the tail end of the board through a hole we had cut into the wall to the storage room. Luckily we didn't use many boards over 10' long.

I looked at an Oliver before I bought this one but the guy wanted way too much for it. This one is a Yates American. It has babbitt bearings on it but someone re-poured them not that long ago & they are in good shape. I took it all apart to go over it & I was surprised when I discovered that. It has babbitt threads for adjusting the infeed & outfeed tables & they are in surprisingly good shape too.

Was that Oliver old enough to have a square cutterhead? The one I looked at did & that was another reason I didn't want it...

I'm gonna have to build a larger phase convertor to power this Whitney too...

Well the Whitney is off the trailer & in the area beside my shop & game room. All it took to get it off  besides me was 4 friends, 3 jacks, 3 pieces of drill steel, a sawzall, a lifting strap, several pieces of wood, a John Deere tractor with loader, 6 pieces of pipe, 2 ramps a drill & 2 hours

Here it is ready for the next phase of its journey.

I snagged this 7 1/2 hp 16" Hendrick radial saw for $50

When I get the pathway for the Whitney I will take it across too - just be easier than maneuvering it back my hallway...

LOL----Sounds like it was easier than you thought so far.

My Son used to work in a shop that made solar sunrooms with heavy redwood. They had a 20" radial saw, so old it had a 30 pound weight on a rope to return the saw after a cut.

I used to have a 10 hp 20" DeWalt radial arm saw - it had a retracting cable for the return. One day a guy came for some cabinet doors & to see about getting some chair legs turned & he made me an offer for it that I couldn't possibly refuse so it left. This 16" should still do just about anything I need it to - if not it will hit the road.
