GOSM took a hit!!

Well anyone else around central Ohio knows about the wind we had the other night, heard on the radio it was 70mph!! Well about 1:00am it sounded like a truck crashed into my house. So I go out to see what happend and my grill and smoker were flying across my patio, grates and knobs and burners and propane tanks were all over the place. My patio chairs were in the field out back and the glass table top was gone from my patio table. Well I found the table top and it was still in one piece and I some how got it into the garage without getting blowing away, let me tell ya its not easy trying to walk in 70mph winds with a big piece of glass! Got all the parts from the smoker and grill gatherd up and put in a pile. Well after I got home from work I was able to put every thing back together and my smoker was pretty banged up. Couldnt get the door to shut but after a few hits from a sledge I was able to bend stuff back into place enough to get the door to stay shut. Anyways I think it'll be ok but it was a pretty rough night.

Sorry to hear about the GOSM. I don't know if you ever saw their charcoal version. That thing is HEAVY

. Really need two people to move it aways. But still during the years we had up to 4 canes hit Florida, we would set it on its side.

Wow.


I have never seen wind like it before. it was non stop for about 6 or 7 hours. I cant even imagine what a real hurricane would be like. I walked around the corner of the house and it felt like a truck ran into me!

Not sure why they start out so good, then seem to head down hill. I would get Tressel out of the whimp sweater vest though. Get him a leather jacket with some chains hanging off the side

I dont know if they get too cocky or what but when ever they start out fast like that they play like crap the rest of the game. I think Beanie Wells was the only person who really showed to play. Our QB has hurt us all year long, he was a first year starter and just not that great. All the stupid penalties really hurt us. I dont want to take anything away from LSU, they are a great team, but OSU did help the out a lot. One one of LSUs scoring drives OSU had 2 15 yard penalties, I'm not saying that LSU would not have scored if it werent for those but when you give a team 30 free yards it makes it a lot easier for them. Another scoring drive OSU had them stopped 4th and 20 or something like that and rough the kicker so they gave them the ball plus 15 yards. Then the next play another personal foul and 15 yards. Again I'm not taking ANYTHING away from LSU, the deserved to win, I just wish OSU would have played as good as they could have. Maybe they still would have lost but at least they would have played their best. No shame in losing a game in my book, IF you play your best.

Maybe they just weren't as good as the "experts" predicted they would be this year. I've seen some teams that were supposed to be spectacular, tank big. (LSU tripple overtime losses come to mind) I have also seen some teams that were supposed to be so-so that ended up winning Orange Bowls (little pimp for Kansas there!)

You just never know what the season will bring.

Well, someday they will finally come up with a playoff system, top 8 teams and give us a real national champion. In the mean time, I'm not holding my breath.

Well the experts picked them 3rd in the Big 10 this year and they started like 13th in country so they ended up doing a lot better than anyone expexted including me. I remember the 02 title game, the one that OSU played in and actually won, and they were like 14 point under dogs and everyone said they should not have even been playing there. Maybe with OSU losing the last 2 years will push more people into wanting a play off system.

Speaking of play off system. Now bear with me I am not big into college football. But I was reading an artical the other day in the local paper here. About the new "Cheeto's bowl" and how this is the start of the revamps being put into place in the college football system. From what I understood over the next couple of years they are going to make changes so that there will be a single national champion. No I might be wrong, I just going off of what I read and remember from the artical.
