not me. just regular trail cams.

looking to upgrade them though.

I have 90 acres on which i live, and 25 acres in Lewis county.

Want some remote access cams for that property.

Don't need to drive when i can check from home.
These won't work for that. The remote range is around 100'. I have a couple trail cameras too. Not WiFi or anything.

I got my kids GoPros for Christmas several years ago. We had an upcoming ski trip and they used them for ski and snowboard videos. Lots of fun, but not used very often. When my wife and I go hiking, we’ll sometimes borrow one and get some hiking footage if the terrain warrants. You can see it on my helmet in the picture below.

Believe me, we have several beers once we got down. The website said no experience necessary, so we qualified. Didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into, but glad we did it. Wouldn’t do it again, though.

Good for you, but I would have looked up and said no f-in way....not sure how I spent 13 years as a volunteer fireman. I won't even go up on the roof for Xmas lights anymore.

We were on a guided hike. We had already been on a really narrow trail, similar to what my wife is standing on in the picture. The guide asked us if we wanted to try something a little more adventurous. Probably should have said no, but I felt like my man card was on the line. Stupid, I know. My wife really enjoyed it!

In my line of work. I'm using boom and man lifts often. But you won't catch me on a extension ladder.

My first action camera was a go pro. After that their prices got ridicules and other brands took over the market. I used them for snorkeling and off roading adventures. The problem with any of them is if you don't use them often the batteries go bad. They work but do not hold a charge as long.

Not super exciting but it is fun to re live my off-Roading fun.

Nice footage! It is annoying that the batteries drain even while not being used. So, I keep them out until ready to be used.

Well, you know me enough to know what may happen if you give it a good review........
Thank David! How did you make out with drone?
I have been terrible about following up on this thread, but since you asked David, it reminded me.

I've had the drone now for a few weeks and initial impressions are that I need to use it more. I charged it and have used it twice just to get the feel of how it flies and that's about as far as I've gotten, sadly. But it's back up to the top of my to do list...

I just got a gopro and I dislike it greatly. No Zooming while filming, WTF is that! I do have another off brand camera the same size as my Gopro that shoots in 4K, I will have set them both up to do a shoot and see which one works better. I do have another 4K camera and 2.7 K camera, and I do have 4 tripods, so when I BBQ this year, I will have lots of angles for the Videos I will make.
