My computer was being a jerk a while back, of course it has to do with the fact it came preinstalled with that garbage Vista!
Got that off, Borged it and was good to go.
Started lagging a bit, it was due for a format so I attempted to give Windows 7 a try, issues, wouldn't install...hate Gateway, 2 days without a computer and I almost forgot how to walk! So re Borged and all is dandy since then.

We are the Borg, resistance is futile!

To save you from withdrawl you might want to check out a local GoodWill or other thirft store... Our local ones are selling CRT monitors for about $3-5.. will save you from withdrawl and can always dispose of when you get yours fixed

Yaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy I'm back!!!!!!!!

But 20 pounds lighter from the lack of QVIEW.......

I't turned out the first geek from Best Buy was wrong (imagine that..lol), it wasn't the monitor at all. It was the video card in the tower that was bad so they replaced it and it seems to be fine now. I had extended warranty so it didn't cost me one penny....
