I've seen them at our Sam's for $1.09 per pound.
I can't figure out why loins are so cheap.
IMHO, if cooked right they are one of the best cuts on a pig.

How do you recommend cooking a loin? I've had success with tenderloins, but I don't think I've ever done a loin, other than slicing into pork chops.
Here is how I cook mine:

Thanks Al! Looks simple and delicious.
I just checked Pick-n-Save <Since Kroger bought them>. Apparently Kroger owned stores don't have that deal :( Darn.1.29 at kroger this week. Put one in the freezer and curing one with Tender Quick for Canadian bacon.
one of my favorite things to do: slice in half then flatten it out add cream cheese, pesto and roasted red peppers roll it up, then the best part wrap in bacon add twine to keep it all tight now I don't smoke yet (still in market VERY SOON to committing, hooray) but throw it on the grill at 350 thereabouts probe temp until 145 or to your likingNice. I wanna get one soon. I was thinking about cutting into it and roll it out flat then roll it up with some goodies inside, pesto suace and spinach maybe couple other things
Different muscle, your thinking of the tender loin.I'm guessing it's same cut as back strap on a deer or new York on a cow. Those are good cuts on them
