took a peek inside today to look. There were nice meaty ones for 13$. I'm going to get one tomorrow I think and do them with my beef ribs I bought today that I got brining

I've seen them at our Sam's for $1.09 per pound.
I can't figure out why loins are so cheap.
IMHO, if cooked right they are one of the best cuts on a pig.

I'm guessing it's same cut as back strap on a deer or new York on a cow. Those are good cuts on them

How do you recommend cooking a loin? I've had success with tenderloins, but I don't think I've ever done a loin, other than slicing into pork chops.

Picked up a nice 9.5lb loin for the $1.49/lb at Costco yesterday. In the freezer now, but hope to try it out soon.

Nice. I wanna get one soon. I was thinking about cutting into it and roll it out flat then roll it up with some goodies inside, pesto suace and spinach maybe couple other things

one of my favorite things to do: slice in half then flatten it out add cream cheese, pesto and roasted red peppers roll it up, then the best part wrap in bacon add twine to keep it all tight now I don't smoke yet (still in market VERY SOON to committing, hooray) but throw it on the grill at 350 thereabouts probe temp until 145 or to your liking

Tonkatsu- Slice into chops then pound out flat. Season, flour, egg wash, panko, deep fry. Often served with shredded cabbage and Katsu sauce (similar to Heinz 57).

Schnitzel- Works with mashed potatoes and gravy much like chicken fried steak. But also makes a great sandwich

Pork loins are really good and easy to do. One of my favorite things to smoke up.

Look forward to hearing how yours turns out.
