Gonna build my first UDS

I always inject butts and briskets and brine chicken and I think doing that helps keep them moist. I only use a pan to catch the juices to use when or if I wrap later on. 
I'm very new to this, so you inject them with just water or something with spices in it?
 
For your first smoke, do a Fatty or a Pork Shoulder. Something with a bit of ... Wait for it.... Uuummmmm Pork Fat!!!!!!

That will re-enforce any seasoning you have done.
 
Its done.......This is my first UDS. I used Ford Blue engine paint that's rated for 500f. It was on sale today at Advanced discount auto parts for $5 a can.

Note to self always paint the drum before you use it.
