Late last summer I started noticing that my Davey Crocket would intermittently quit. It continued into the winter. then while ice fishing in February, it quit and I could not get power to the unit. We finally noticed it had a short in the ac/dc adaptor cord.
I finally got around to emailing GMG customer service last night. I also realized my grill was at 3-4 months out of warranty and I did not remember registering it. A replacement adapter was $50.
Within an hour I had a response from GMG apologizing for the inconvenience and asked if I could send the serial number and my mailing address. I sent the serial number in and then noticed the manufacturing date was over a year before the grill was purchased. I sent the serial number in expecting them to tell me the warranty was no longer valid.
With in an hour of that email they replied that they would be shipping me a new adapter in the morning.
I was very impressed. This rivals stories I hear about Rec Tecs excellent customer service
