GMG Crockett 2018 Searing?

Hey guys,

I just received my GMG. I didn't realize that it now comes with a solid grease pan, rather than the one with the holes in it. I am wondering, will I still be able to sear with the solid pan, or am I going to have to mod it and/or see about getting the older one with the holes?
