Copy the link, then click on the paperclip button at the top fo the message box. paste the link in the url box, then click insert button.

I've tried that. Also used the " media " button, which once worked just fine. Last couple of weeks, it tells me they can't embed Twitter.

For U-tube videos I just copy the link and paste it in the thread.

OK, I've been using the " copy link " at the bottom of the X post under the share button.

I went to the address bar and copied the link, and it works. So X changed something in the " copy link " button.
