Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum. I've been smoking for about 5 years and I love it! It has become my favourite hobby. I've used a vertical propane smoker, a Bradley, and I'm just diving into the world of pellet smokers. My new pellet smoker should be here in time for me to do the initial burn off on Friday and smoke some wings and a pork butt on Monday for the March Madness Finals.
I'm hoping that my pellet smoker will enable me to lengthen the season that I'm able to smoke in as the temperatures can get quite low here.
Ready to join in the conversation and learn lots.

Welcome, this site is gonna make you avoid mistakes and do great cooks the first time. I have a pellet smoker, Rec Tec, and absolutely love it. You end up smoking a lot more because of the ease. There’s something to be said for tending you’re fire in the pit, but there’s also something to be said for being able to make great Q no matter how busy you are that day - and pellet grills make that possible. Enjoy

What he said ^.

I bet you cant wait for it to roll up. I just converted to a pellet smoker.

One thing I noted which might help is with pellet smokers they reckon a thermal blanket/cover can save you up to 40% in pellets in real cold weather.

Welcome to the site, happy to have ya join up.
