So I came across this and had to try it
IMG_0119.png
so I picked up some fresh beans went ahead and sterilized my jars ordinarily when I do kraut and reading some articles it’s not necessary when your canning time exceeds the sterilization time, but since green beans require pickling to be stable with water bath I used extra cautio.

The brine was not enough so I used their initial recipe and added
6 cups of water
4 cups vinegar
3T of salt
boiled and added to the jars
also used a t of minced garlic instead of cloves I swear we had some

Everyone out of the pool and resting I ended going about 20 minutes in the water bath got busy, now to clean up my mess before the wife gets home thanks for watching

As I was getting my canning gear out and looking up the recipe I found a recpipe that’s smaller and isn’t canned. Oh well may go that route next time but I already had the gear ready to roll. Now the hard pard waiting two weeks. I will repot back🍻

I haven't made dilly beans in years.
I normally make them in wide mouth jars and keep the beans whole outside of the trimming. The longer sticks make a better swizzle stick garnish in a Bloody Mary or Caesar.
I use the Ball blue book recipe.

Looks great! I use the same recipe. Though, I don't process them. I just vacuum seal and keep them as fridge dilly beans.
