Yes it it. Sorry you were not able to take advantage of that offer.
I drive over 90 miles to go to Cabelas instead of Gander. They never seem to have the most basic and common items, but have shelves of stuff only a fraction of the public uses. Went to buy natural casings last year, NONE. I asked the manager if they were going to get some in, he said that they really don't carry them. I asked him then why they sell so many pre made sausage packs for things like brauts and Italian sausages if you don't carry natural casings. I can't remember the last time I had a braut made out of collagen LOL.
A huge selection of grinder blades, maybe 100 of them. NO Grinder plates.................. anywhere
Hog ring pliers. NO rings....
Archery season, 2 years ago. An entire isle loaded with fletching, glue, you name it for building your own arrows. NO arrow blanks. WTF??? I asked the pro shop guy about this, he told me that management does not listen to him, and he actually directed me to go to their local competitor for archery equipment.
Shotgun hunting season 2 years ago. Bought 2 brand new shotguns from them, well almost. New Winchester, new Remington 870. The 2 most common shotguns ever made for deer hunting. No scope mounts for EITHER, but had more mounts for shotguns made overseas than you can imagine. Needless to say, both guns were not purchased, drove over to Cabelas and walked out with everything we needed.
To me, it's just common sense. You stock the things that get used or bought the most. When you run out of something that the public uses on a regular basis, you order more the next time. When you have a shelf full of something that is collecting dust, you don't buy as many. Then again common sense is not common.
I have wrote their corporate headquarters so many times, complaining about their lack of common inventory, I lose count. Never a single reply from them. I will never ever set foot in that store again as my heart can't take the stress of waling out with 10% of the things I went in there for LOL.
My 15# stuffer is the last thing I bought from them and that is the only reason I set foot in that store, because of the deal on it and believe it or not, it took them 20 minutes to figure out the special discount they had for it. That's right, I stood in that line at the counter for 20 minutes, had people backed up in that line until they finally got it figured out. I think I went on too long here, forgive me. Sometimes I go on a tangent and don't realize it.
I think I will copy this entire thread and forward it to Ganders "customer service". (Hey, that would have been a good one for the other days post titled, "OXY MORONS" LOL)
Maybe they will send me a pack of casing to ease my pain and suffering
