im sure this has already been brought up but i figured it wouldnt hurt to revisit it, what are people using for the heat source in their drums, i am on the fence weather to use lump or briquettes thanks in advanced for the info.
Kingsford for me. Readily available in my neck of the woods and cheaper than lump. I just like how consistently it burns. I use lump sometimes when I can get it for chicken. It burns hotter.
I have been using a 50/50 mix per the suggestions of other SMF members. It burns pretty consistently and has a great flavor on its own. It almost doesn't need any added wood (I have been adding a few chunks of hickory).
