I know some people like these old refers to convert to smokers.
It's been in our family for 66+ years and still works but struggles in the 100*+ Norcal heat.
I almost ruined 30+lbs of various smoked cheeses so it's time to retire it.
Anyone in the NorCal area is welcome to it to convert to a smoker.
It has a porcelain metal interior so there should be much work to convert it/paint.
I do have a truck and can drive it locally but you have to load and unload it since I recently had a shoulder replacement.
It has 3 drawers, not pictured. Exterior paint is worn, just needs a fresh coat and practically very minor/dent free.
I can be reach at nine one six, 804, zero one seven five. Phone message or text is ok. 9:00am-8:00pm please.
If you reply to this forum, I may not see it for a day/week?
-Brian

I do believe that's the exact model Hotpoint I grew up with! Brings back great memories of Mom. Would love it, but I'm at a stage in life where I need to thin out, not add. Best wishes to you and whoever scores it!

That would also be a good one to restore to its glory. Here is a pic of mine I restored, it is still working great.

Cool looking retro refer you have there.
My intentions were to make a cabinet smoker out of it after my mom passed 5 years ago so I shipped it up to Sacramento from SoCal. I just don't have time and I really don't want to move it with me to Jacksonville, NC in the next 1/2 years. I have too many other cooking/smoking devices that take priority. I don't do much smoking anymore with just the wife and I so I want it to go to someone who appreciates it. It still works, just that it can't take the 100*+ heat we have in the summer. In a more controlled environment, It would do just fine as a refer.
I've seen so nice beer kegger system made with these, too.
