Picked up a vortex a while back. Finally got to use it Sunday night on some wings and drummies. Momma wanted Italian dressing on some of them (who am I to argue). I did a few in a dry rub I had in the cupboard. Can't recall which I used. No one cares anyways 🤣. On to the pictures. Oh and doing thighs tonight, pics to come.

Probably one of the best things to be enabled into! After you get done with the chicken parts try out rib singles!

Looking good.
I'm doing brined pork tenderloins and naked thighs on the pellet pooper tomorrow.
I think the infernal rains and pounding winds are done for a few days and it may warm up.
The hot temps we brought up from Florida fizzled out and we have been hibernating.
My wife does not like chicken cooked on charcoal, but she will eat them off the pooper.

Yeah we went from Florida to Minnesota in a few days there didn't we? Went to a townball game in Cannon Falls Friday night. Ask the wife if she should bring a sweater, it was chilly and raining. She said nope. Before the end of the first inning guess who lost his sweatshirt and watched the rest of the game in a t-shirt. Temps were in the mid-40s and drizzle/ rain. I made it until 7th inning until I said let's go.

Nice work!. I have the same grate and vortex. They work awesome together. Using the vortex big side up is great for reverse searing a steak. Toss the steak over the vortex for a few minutes each side at the end gives a nice sear.
