Wow that is some nice color on the chicken from such a short smoke at 225. I'm always down to experiment with different pellets. Those are pricey

Haven't seen those pellets. Have you tried them @kruizer ?

I've got a few special flavor (and expensive) pellets and they all go in a tube. I won't use them in the hopper that mostly adds heat.

I'd be curious to try chicken in a pooper after that long a smoke / cook. I'm thinking the surface is dried out after sitting in the convection oven.

Interesting enough to try a 3.5lb bag for $10. We'll see how they do in the smoker tube....
