Shall we let your wife know you have an abundance of time for more honey dos? Heard that helps with swelled heads! :emoji_blush:
Ryan

Now Ryan - if I wanted my wife to know I had more time for her chores, I'd tell her myself! And you can trust me when I tell ya that she's a cure for a swelled head...she seems to have the knack of making certain I don't get too full of myself :emoji_laughing:

You sir have earned it with your builds. I wish I could have gotten it. Between life and the little man, well I will watch the cooks out does from here! Nice rig.

I really appreciate it Tom! I can sure relate to life getting in the way...happens to all of us! And as long as I'm able, if you ever get to a place where you're ready for a custom smoker built to your specs, just give me a shout-out!

Sir I would be honored to have you make one for me. I don't see that in my future though. Like I was discussing with Ryan Brokenhandle Brokenhandle earlier, my son is graduating from preschool Thursday. He loves coming out and cooking with me so we have fun but we now where my money is going. 🤣.

Heck yeah! No question about a man's priorities when his kids are small. It's been a long time for me - our youngest is 36. We do enjoy spoiling our grandsons though!

It's awesome that your son loves to cook out with his Dad! Those experiences are worth way more than any smoker for sure!

Wow seenred seenred my friend, that didn’t last long… not surprised though with the build threads you post! Anyone on here that follows your threads know that quality is certainly top shelf and you don’t cut corners on your builds.

Congrats to B BigW. That is one nice cooker/smoker you have there. Please post your cooks as I would love to see them.

Howdy Justin! Thanks Buddy! This was a really fun build, and I can't wait to see B BigW. cooking on it!

I'll just say thanks to all the well wishers. I'm not savvy enough for the multi-quote responses. I agree with everyone on the quality of the build. I've been eyeing it thru the whole build. I've also watched enough Kent Rollins & Chud's videos to know they are a versatile cooker. This one beats theirs in price and function.

Speaking with seenred seenred was a great experience. He is a swell fella for sure. Look forward to meeting him in person soon.

Already pondering in my head a rotisserie attachment. I've got a couple Lodge griddles that would fit better on this than any of my current toys. I've got a name it....decide what to cook first....

Red built you a top shelf cooker!!! If you choose to this will open your world to open flame cooking and that is a beautiful thing!

Appreciate the kind words BigW. I had watched many of the same videos, and decided I wanted to design and build a cooker that had all the best features of both - and then some!

One of the first things I thought was how well this setup would work for a rotisserie. I was thinking of drilling holes in the side of the cabinet to accommodate spit rods...but some sort of modified attachment could work too!

It was a pleasure to speak with you too BigW! Looking forward to meeting you face to face and turning this pit over to you!

Just wanted to post the conclusion of this project. I delivered it to it's new home yesterday!

Here is B BigW. standing next to his new pit! What a nice gentleman! W, it was so nice to meet you and your son. Thanks again! Little W is a nice young man, which to me, says a lot about his parents.

BigW seemed very happy with the smoker. So now I'm just excited to see his cooking threads!

Glad you made it home safe! It is a heck of a cooker. Very well thought out and will be able to do many things. seenred seenred is a great guy. Could have chatted for hours and I'm not too talkative. Wrapped up the smoker like delicate flower. I can tell why his smoker builds are so popular here, he really does them right!

Little W also enjoyed meeting you. He gets his niceness from his mother :emoji_laughing:

This forum really is great. Introducing a Chevy guy from N.E. Oklahoma and a Ford guy from Nebraska. Smoking tasty treats is universal.

Thank you Sir for the kind comments!

LOL my wife always said the same about our kids...until they did something dumb, then she'd say they took after me! :emoji_laughing:

Great pic and enjoy that smoker . The adjustable fire grate is an awesome feature .
Move it up and cook some red oak down to coals , and do some beef steaks over it . Magic !

I'm surprised the Chevy made the trip , especially with a load .

Thanks Brother! I think it'll be a searing machine for sure!

Chevy has to stop at a gas station regularly. Ford has to stop at a dealership regularly!

YEAAAA... WHAT HE SAID

:emoji_laughing: :emoji_laughing: :emoji_laughing:

That took a turn! Didn't expect this to turn into a Chevy v Ford war LOL! TBH, I've never really picked a side in that argument - I've owned both Ford and Chevy trucks...and for the most part, they were all good trucks. The one I'm driving now is a Chevy...but the next one might just as easily be a Ford.
