SS, morning and welcome to the forum...... Yes.... You can wrap any meat you want to take to a higher temp....  Lots of folks don't wrap also....  It is a preference chosen with time.... 

You have entered the best forum on the web for smoking meats etc.....   Many folks here willing to help and share their knowledge on lots of subjects..... You will become addicted learning all the recipes and tricks one can find here.... enjoy the long smokey ride....  and thank you to all who have served and are serving to protect this great country on Memorial Day...

A lot of people foil their meat, you will get a lot of different opinions on this. I have done brisket, butts and ribs and have foiled and not foiled and they all come out good just a little different.

The foiling tends to shorten the cook time, but makes the "bark" softer due to the moisture.  Lots of people do it, lots don't.  Up to you!
