It was right at 70 degrees today . Sunny with a lite breeze . So I cleaned up the 28 " Blackstone and thawed some 80/20 beef .

Haven't been grinding my own for a year or so . Beef cuts got crazy expensive , so I've been buying the 80/20
" Tube-O-Beef " form GFS . It's actually really good . Great flavor , and cooks up nice . Been getting it on sale , under 5 bucks a pound .
Steamed the Blackstone and oiled it up . At the ready for cook time .

When the beef thawed , I portioned it out into 4 ounce balls .
6 balls , so a double makes around a half pound burger .
Staged everything I needed to cook out back , and waited for the kids to get home .

Then pre heated the BS , put the burgers on and smashed .
Thin sliced red onion on top , then flip when ready .

Used Blackstone Whiskey burger for the seasoning on the beef .

Puts a great crust on the burgers .

Flip the rest , with onions now down .

Then flip back over and add the cheese .
On the cutting board and in the house . This gets goin' fast , so not time to get a pic of everything .
I'm all about American cheese on burgers . Kids like pepper jack .

The baskets are great for these meals .
Had chips and some french onion dip along with the corn .

Just onions , dill pickles and some Dukes mayo on the burger .
Really hit the spot . Been to long since I made any .

Supposed to be highs in the mid 30's by the weekend , happy
I did this today .

Great job Rich! I'm seeing my grills for the first time in 6 weeks! Finally had some warmer temps to thaw things out.

Great meal Rich!! Can't beat a nice burger like that.
Thanks Jeff . It hit the spot . That Blackstone seasoning buts a great crust on the burgers .
I season throughout the cook as I flip .
I'd be all over that plate !!
Thanks bud . Appreciate that .

Great lookin burger 👍. I was just talking about how I need to use my Blackstone more. Of course its gonna be cold here all weekend though

Great cook Rich! I love me a good smash burger.
Thanks . Yeah , me too . Really the only way I do them anymore .

Thanks . We got that 10 " a few weeks ago . Took awhile for it to leave . PITA , when the dog only has 8 " legs !
Looks good!
Thanks bud .
ou had me at "It was right at 70 degrees today." !
It was nice sitting outside . Gonna get close again today .

Heck Yeah! Been to long for me also. Cleaning up the patio today and find a new place for all my toys. Going to be nice not having everything bunched up together. Going to have to make this happen this weekend.

Our Basset wasn't digging it much either!! He came in one time with an icicle hanging from his. Well. You get the idea!

send some of that 70 degree weather my way. And a burger too.
It's cloudy and damp out today . So I won't fell guilty about hanging in the shop all day .
Thanks for the comment .
Great lookin burger
Thanks !
just talking about how I need to use my Blackstone more.
Yup . I say the same thing . Takes longer to get it out , cleaned up and put back than it does to use it . Mines the original with the front grease drain . Can get messy sometimes . I need a hard cover for it .

Heck Yeah! Been to long for me also.
Thanks Brian .

I still miss the hot tub at times , but the room is more used than it was . Make or get yourself a rolling work table to use with your grills now .

Nice Rich, If the snow ever melts I will get to my grills, griddle and smoker again. Both the PA and NY house are still covered in snow. I never thought to use the Ninja griddle plate for corn, If I can find any corn on the cob I am going to try this.
