I got this MES free. Only issue I can find with it so far is that the control panel is ripped. It works but at some point won't anymore. Anyone ever fix this problem before?

No. But it looks like it has moisture under what is there as well.
You should be able to get a replacement from Masterbuilt at a reasonable cost.
With the moisture that is showing, I wonder if there is other moisture infiltration in the unit.
