Hey ya'll first timer here my honey just bought me a mes40 for Valentine's Day and I'm chompin at the bit to get smokin'. Seeing how I live in Chicago and it is currently -11 with the wind chill I'm going to have to wait a little while[emoji]128542[/emoji] Any and all advice would be much appreciated as we love camping and are usually at the camper every weekend entertaining friends and family and of course grilling and chilling. Would love some can't miss recipes that my guests would love, thanks and God Bless

Rickshaw Welcome to SMF I have an MES 40 they can produce some really great food, they do have problems. First thing I would recommend is get yourself a good external thermo probe, Maverick,Polder, I-grill. Also check out the MES users group, and look at getting an AMNPS. links below.

Thanks everyone. Tropics any particular models of these brands that you would recommend?
I have a maverick I think it is E 71 and a Polder # unknown check any of them out I don't endorse any thing

The vast majority of us use the Maverick ones. I have the et 732, but the 733 is newer with more features and a little more money.
