First time smoking

Hi all from SE Michigan. Great forum. I have a ME 30 gifted to me. I have some pearch that I am smoking and want to gain insight on tips for Electric smokers. When do I add the chips, when should I see smoke, do I have to bring the meat- I sure it varies. Etc. Thanks for any insight you can lend this newby.. very excited for this new hobby.

Welcome to the site!  Lots of info and experience here with the MES.  At the upper right of the page is the search tool, type in MES when you've got some time.
