I am trying a lot of firsts today. First Boston butt so I will be following Bears step be step. First time using Jeff's rub and first time using Todd's AMNPS. Also the first time using sand in the water pan. So here's to hoping everything or even most everything goes right.
Rubbed it last night, left it in the fridge and put it in the smoker at 220°.
AMNPS is smoking away.
