According to the Feldon calculator I sent you earlier that is a nice size - 160.5% size differential given your OD's are 20x20x20
If you go to it and put in 60 gals for your CC , then your firebox size dimensions it will tell you all your info and you can play with the numbers and tweak them. Then go to the other circle calculator site below and you can find your exact FB to CC cutout height.JUST REMEMBER EVERYTHING IS ID! As someone has said before on here "everything the smoke touches".The second circle calc site below is a good one/handy for finding square inches of circles also.

Here is a link to the calculator as I would proceed.
Link to BBQ Pit Calculator
On your exhaust I chose 4" it says 23.22" tall go 24" tall.
On your intakes it is showing 2.33 make three openings.
For the firebox to cooking chamber opening it shows an opening of right at 11" wide x 5.5" tall. I would go 11.5" wide x 5.75" tall and add a 1.5" grease bridge at the bottom.
I hope this helps. :)

I know you did. I filled in the blanks as I would proceed. In my opinion a 20" firebox is too large for the tank.
Gotcha Kam,please tell him why you feel that way. That's why we're all here after all,to glean info, pick brains....

The calculator is based on a 1/3 rule for optimum drafting. When you increase the firebox to 60% larger you change the draft and openings increase plus exhaust height changes to compensate. I do prefer a slightly larger firebox but try to stay at or under 20% over. I am not saying it will not work but you are storing way more heat than needed for a an efficient cooker.

im not a math person im a welder i have 6 20 x 20 inch pieces so that will make a 20x20x20 box do you guys think i should make it 20wx 20h x18 deep or keep it the same im kinda lost i have no experience with smokers i buld coustom trailers out of my shop if some one can help me draw up a perfit smoker i can build it not good with computers

As I said earlier the cooker will work with the 20" square FB morgansc I just prefer to get closer to my target sizes when I build one.

Kam's numbers are pretty much exactly what I used. I may have changed my FB to CC opening to 5 3/4" tall. My opening has no grease bridge and is the same width as the inside of the tank at 5.75" from the bottom. I wish I had gone with a 20" firebox as the 18" is a little cramped and ashes build up fast and impede airflow when doing long cooks. You might make it 20" tall and 18" deep and wide since it will be the same width as the tank when you join them. That's just a look thing though. Also by trimming those pieces of plate by 2" you'll have material for the FB door seals.

P.S. I tried to find my old thread and post a link but this new format for the site messed me up. I'll try and find it later.

I couldn't figure out how to copy the link for my thread on my phone so I just replied to it and bumped it back to the top. Look through it should answer some of your questions.

How do I determine how I notch the end of my tank for the CC to FB I’m kinda figuring out stuff thank for your patience and your help

That's the measurements we were talking about earlier. If your going to go with 5.5" height. That's what you need to notch the tank but add the material thickness into that. If the tank is .250" wall and your using .250" for the firebox cut the tank at 6". When I did mine I set the tank on my bench and used angle iron to stop it from rolling. I set up some blocks at the height I needed, put my soapstone on those and marked the line on the domed end. The cut that goes around the circumference of the tank I used the weld from cylinder to dome as a guide to mark a straight line. Don't cut to close to that weld there's a backer strap inside of that weld so it's double the thickness right there. I cut just inside of that weld and I got that strap so it took forever with a cut off wheel to get through. Hope that helps

Got a chance to get out in the shop this weekend, I made a few changes, dimensions of the box are:20 high, 18 wide, 18 deep. Door is 14 by 16, now just debating on how to do door hinges and vents, thanks for all your help.
