Hey everyone, I frequent the forums but don't post too often. I recently got my hands on a masterbuilt 1050 and so I did my first cook this morning. I was using the Louisiana grills pellet smoker from Costco. I did a rack of spare and a rack of baby. Took about 3.5 hrs of total cool time then I covered loosely in aluminum foil for that last .5 to bring me to 4 hrs in total. If this difference in flavor is due to the smoker then color me sold. They were so juicy and tender. Holy crap. After about 3 hrs I basted with my homemade BBQ sauce. I like to start my ribs by leaving them uncovered in my fridge with salt pepper, turbinado sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

I also forgot to mention, after I came to temp I brought the smoker to 400 and flipped the ribs for a sear for about 3 minutes

Take them unused racks out, your just making more work for your self lol

Put a drip pan on the bottom and cream cheese on the top lol

Looks fantastic!! For set and forget I think this smoker is a great alternative to pellets and may provide a result closer to stick burners / charcoal cabinets. I may be buying 5 of these this weekend. I’ve found some on clearance for $350 each if the stores inventory is correct. Plan on flipping 4 and keeping one mostly for high temp grilling. These things go to 700F fast.

I love it so far! Only issue I've had is getting it lit. Once it goes though it's so quiet.

Covered in your favorite flavors

Good looking ribs! I'd not mind a bone or two of those.
