Decided to make some pulled pork for family watching the NFC Championship game. Did a lot of research in the SMF and got a lot of tips and went for it! Found a rub recipe and mixed that all up for 1/4/13 and rubbed the 2 beauties down then wrapped them and threw them in the fridge.2-7lb boston butt
Pulled them out the next morning and fired up the smoker. Nice 50 degree January day in northwest PA.
Kept the smoker right at 200 and just let them go.Smoked for about 10 hours with apple chips. Ran out of charcoal and pulled them, wrapped them up in tinfoil and put them in the oven at 235 for about an hour. Removed from the oven and let sit for another hour.
Unwrapped them and them bone fell right out. Started pulling and everyone loved it. Served with my bbq sauce on the side. Did not get any pics after i pulled the pork for i was celebrating the 49ers win and i for one like to have a beer or 2 while doing any bbq!
