I was planning on ribs or maybe even chicken for my first smoke with my new unit. But two butts were on sale at the store for 14 bucks total, just couldn't pass it up. So far everything is going perfectly. I am absolutely amazed at how consistent the temp has been staying. Makes all those years with my NB smoker seem like work!

Thanks to all on this forum for helping me decide on this purchase!

They are a great runner, congrats. Are you using lump or briquettes? I find briquettes give ya better temp control and longer burn times.

I'm still completely amazed and how well this thing has kept it's temp. It's quite effortless, yet still cookin' with fire!

I don't know anything about your smoker but I do know that your butts look like they are really good and probally pretty tastey too.
