First Day Of Spring??? (Shoot the Groundhog!!)

OK——Now this is getting ridiculous. Friday (3-20-2015) was the First Day of Spring, so the Snow starts falling at 6 AM, continues all day long, and tapers off at about 10 PM, after leaving about 9” of new White Stuff!!!

After 2 weeks of Highs in the 40s, and lows in the 20s, we were just getting to see a good amount of Green in the Vast Sea of White that surrounds us.

So no smoking for that day, so I had to pick something else, and “Imitation Lobster” was my choice:

Bear’s Imitation Lobster:

Thanks for looking,

Bear

After 2 weeks of 40° highs and 20° lows, we were finally seeing a lot of green:

Then along came 9” of snow on the First Day of Spring (March 20, 2015):

Even my Bears are tired of this White Stuff !!!

I feel your pain Bear, I've seen snow before. I'm not having that problem today, although it has dropped down into the 60's today from about 80 yesterday. A shot from the front door:

My problem today is rain. This is how I'm having to smoke my turkey today:
Thanks Monkey!!

That first pic looks like a painting---Nice!

It'll stop raining.

I can relate to your "joy", John. We got about 6" of fresh snow last night. Things were starting to clear nicely, and now this!! Really starting to get sick of winter.

Gary
Thanks Gary!!

I'd like to think this is the end of it, but I can still remember the Snow Storm we got in April that dropped 17" before it was done with us!!!

Between 9:30 and about 3:00 today we got 5 1/4"s of rain but I'll take that over snow any day.
Yup!!

Where I live now, I'd take the 5" of rain before the a couple feet of snow, because I had this house built right, and no water will ever get in the basement.

However, at our last house I'd take the snow before the 5" of rain, because the rain would eventually end up in my basement until my pumps did their jobs.

Thanks Gary!
We actually have a little Brown/green as of last night. Now they're calling for a high of 66° on Thursday, so maybe it'll all be gone soon, except for the plowed piles!! We'll see!!

Bear it looks like you are stuck in winter while down in Florida we have already skipped spring and went straight to summer. I was in the woods Saturday and it was in the upper 80's and humid. It doesn't feel right to sweat that much in March.

LOL-----I guess we'll be sweating soon enough, but definitely not just yet.

I have in the past fished for Trout in the snow, and Trout season here doesn't open until mid April (In those days).
