After much arguing with myself between pitboss and the camp chef I finally bought home the camp chef. They were out of stock of the pitboss I wanted but this was the runner up.

Only thing I'm not a fan of is the drip shield getting in the way of the direct heat to sear but I have my old propane grill next so I can just jump over to it to sear. I got so many things I want to try and smoke now lol. Did a ribeye last night and it was a game changer.

Congrats on a new smoker! Reverse sear, ie smoke then flash sear on the gasser or over coals is a money maker all day long....
