Looks good we are getting about 10 a day right now waiting on the rest to start laying. We are getting tan, dark brown, olive, and blue so far. About half of them have not started laying yet but should be very close

“Butt nugget” has been a family term of endearment for decades and I’ve never known where it came from or who started it. Haha. I’ve never thought of it in this context. That’s hilarious.

Just within the last couple hours.

Never heard that term, but love it!
I’m jealous too!
I eat a couple dozen eggs a week & it sure would be nice to have my own chickens.

Awesome Rick... I'm sure you already know... NOT to put them in the fridge... Leave at room temp ... Once cooled (fridged) then they have to stay cooled

Not only don't put them in the fridge but don't wash them either. The chicken puts some kind of coating on the egg before she lays it and they say they are good on the counter for like 30 days as long as that coating stays on. We have not left any out that long but we go a week or two with no problems. Either wash before putting in the fridge or before cooking it

Yup

Back when i was a yonker at home my mom left the unwashed eggs out on the counter.
