Favorite beer while smoking and/or eating BBQ?

I think I already responded to this thread but it is too long to look up my choice.

In my opinion I do not put light beers in the category of beer.

That being said, my first choice is Becks in bottles, then, Iron City Beer, Schlitz (Yes Schlitz. . .It is the beer that made Milwaukee famous you know), and Coors Banquet. I do like some IPA's but it seems that a lot of micro breweries are competing to see who can put the most hops in their beers. . .They end up tasting like medicine instead of beer.

My dad worked 30+ years here in Memphis brewing beer. Started in 1971 with Schlitz and ended his career out with Coors. Strohs I believe was in the middle there somewhere. When I drink beer I try to pick one of those 3. Usually go with Coors as the other 2 are a little hard to find around here. Gotta support the old mans retirement fund you know.

I like yuengling while I'm cookin and eatin. If I'm not so full I cain't breathe after I finish. I like a glass of bourbon/brandy for/with dessert.
