Bearcarver, you have a beautiful home and place.    The trees turning in the fall is not something I get to see too much of, except in the pictures.
Thank You Whistech!!

The colors look nicer from a distance, but these were just what I can see from my house.

I found a picture of or last Christmas blizzard  ha ha    It has been many years since we had snow on Christmas

Nice home Bear, D shape or square log? I use to work on natural Log homes, did some work for Alpine, Maple Island and a few others... Your A shape on the front,, does it open up into a Great room?
PigBark,

Sorry I missed this post. It is "D" shaped logs (See pic below). We like the rounded logs outside, and the inside matches all of the Tongue & Groove interior walls.

The A shape front is in the back too. The interior front half is cathedral Ceiling Great Room, and the back half is a Loft above the Kitchen & Dining Room.

The overhang of the front & back A is 4' at the peak, and 2' at the bottom---I think they called it something like "Pram".

This was a "Kuhns Bros Log Homes" Kit.

Great looking pictures, Bear.  I love fall.  Its my favorite season.  Its looking similar here in Minnesota right now too.  Won't be too much longer and it will be all white and time to hibernate.

Love the pics Bear!!! I am from Michigan originally, moved to middle Tn. 6 1/2 years ago. I do miss the fall colors of the north as we just go from green to brown to falling off for the most part. Very little color unless you travel to the east side of the state.

Hey Bear,

I love fall too.  Yesterday I sat out on the deck in a tshirt with a cold beer.  This is what I woke up to this morning.  I've had birchwood burning in the fireplace for the last 4 hours and don't plan on quitting anytime soon

I'm in no hurry for the white stuff !!!

This Wednesday (29th of October) will be the 2 year anniversary of a 20" deep snow "Blizzard" we had here, that knocked out our electric for 6 days.

Thanks KB !!!

I'll tell you what I remember about TN. When I got orders for Ft Hood, Mrs Bear & I took our time getting there. We drove as straight as we could, taking 3 days to get there. We spent 2 nights in motels, and both times we were in TN. From NE TN to SW TN is a long way !!! About 600 miles I believe!!

Coming home we drove straight thru------1735  miles in 23 1/2 hours. (1971)

Yup, Sometimes it changes real fast !!

That 20" of snow we had on October 29th, two years ago knocked out our electric. The green grass in my front yard was showing again, before our electric was restored!!!
