Split between Michigan and Texas
I think the issue is inefficient and improperly vented cooking stoves posing an immediate threat to the users thereof, but that article is so badly written it's hard to tell what the hell she's talking about. The environment on a large scale is a whole separate issue from what the research seems to be targeting. Not sure why she said the EPA is using evidence from the World Health Organization on the 4.3 million deaths. Climate impact from solid fuel stoves and 4.3 million people dying from CO poisoning and smoke inhalation are two completely separate things.

Considering there are probably 4-5 Billion folks that use wood, animal dung, coal or other organic fuels to cook, heat with.... due to the lack of communal infrastructure...... that number doesn't surprise me.... about 0.1% of the population/year..... They need "Rocket" stoves...

Add me to the list.....

Sorry about just hearing about this.  I could have saved a couple of ladies I loved.

My mother and aunt grew up in a home with a range fired with corn cobs.  My aunt used one until she was 40 years old and the rural areas were provided with electricity.

Neither lived to be 100.  They both died in their 90's.

Good luck and good smoking.
