It's now April 23rd, and by now, the snow is supposed to be gone

Ice should be off the lakes

We're dreaming of the Fishing Opener

BUT NO!!!!!

6" of snow again last night + the 4" we got a few days ago

2' - 3' of ice on the lakes + another 1' - 2' of snow on top the ice

Fishing Opener is May 11th and looks like the lakes will still be frozen

April 19th Storm = 4" of Snow       April 23rd Storm = 6" of Snow

Yup!!!! And we were suppose to plant our spuds on Good Friday!!!! Forget that!!!! Still had frost........and snow on top of that. We still have snow and frost.............but snow seems to be disappearing..........slowly.

60's down here too by the weekend

Not sure if the ice will be out for opener

Septic at the cabin even froze up this year!

Guys were driving on the lake this past weekend.....Still 3' of ice and snow on top of that!!

Global Warming My A$$!!!

This is more than likely a result of the recent snows and the Waldo Canyon Fire Scar. This is a screen grab from the video link. This is the highway between where I live and Colorado Springs.

Is that highway 24? I almost got hit by a prius this morning on my way to work...Streets were just wet at my casa, but at Bijou and I-25...slick!

The only thing I keep thinking...I'm going camping this weekend...second trip of the season!!

Believe it or not, I'm planning to go ice fishing for some trout after work tomorrow. I've heard that guys are still having a hard time getting through the ice 'cause there is so much of it, need an extension on the auger!

Crazy year to be sure.

Todd, Try firing all them Smokers you got on the Front Lawn! That should at least clear the Snow on your property...JJ

This was a terrible winter.  Terrible as in, we got about 2 inches of snow all year.  Lots of ice and sloppy mixed rain however.

Bummed because my "Snow-B-Q" was postponed yest another year.
