I was there last month. Saw car tags in the parking lot from Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, North Carolina, and Texas.
Daniel Vaughn, the BBQ guy for Texas Monthly magazine, rated Texas style barbecue joints outside the state of Texas. Visited 147 places, IIRC. He ranked Edge Craft #9 .
I would bet those out of state visitors were there because of Texas Monthly.
Well it's sure got the look. I'll have to give that place a try next visit to OKC. The wife is headed home from Edmond now. I got another local joint in Denison I'm fixing to grab a sample of. I've heard they make the Po Sam's style gravy/sauce. It's a very unique sauce and I can still remember how it taste and the last time I ate it was 1981 maybe?
Who doesn't enjoy a good BBQ joint? Thanks for the heads up.
I'm maybe a 2 1/2 hour drive to OKC, so I don't get down there too often. But this place has been on my bucket list for a while! Definitely planning to visit the next time I'm in the City.
