So some may know I bought the Masterbuilt Bullet water smoker some weeks back and put a small thread up on putting it together.
Just wanted to let everyone know that this cheap ($29.99 clearance) smoker has really worked well.
I've done a pork butt and ribs , plus about 40 lbs of cut up beef for jerky. This smoker has been real easy to regulate. I have been getting 10° swings as it cycles and it holds well in the 20° winter temps. Not using water bowl aids in quicker ready temps. I use an old ECB rack with foil and dozens of holes punched in it for a deflector of sorts.
The ECM chip tray I put wood chunks in and they work absolutely wonderful. Smaller chunks to get immediate smoke and larger chunks one an hour or 90 minutes.
So anyone that wants a cheaper easy to use smoker, I recommend this one..
Cons:
Had to buy a good heavy extension cord rated for 1650 watt.
Meat added to smoker brings temps down for a while.
Top vent needs to be open or steam will start dripping down on food.
This thing leaks smoke all over , but.. it doesn't matter. Just turn the heat up, it gets over 300 °
