I have read a lot of posts that question the conversion from charcoal to electric using the Brinkmann 1500 watt coil, but has anyone actually done it with success? I only ask because my wife (in MO) has our charcoal ECB there but doesn't like the hassle and cost of charcoal but likes smoked foods. My thinking is I'll buy the coil and lava rocks and set her up when I'm home for Christmas. That way we can all enjoy a smoked turkey and ABTs!
