Easier than brushing

I was crumpling up newspapers to start the charcoal today when in occurred to me that the wads of paper could be used to remove the stalactites from the inside of the grill. Was way quicker and easier than my brush.

Aluminum foil works pretty well to and is more durable.

I guess I should have mentioned that the same paper I scrape with is then used to light the coals.

Gotcha.  Hey, that idea might prompt me into rubbing down my grates more often when I'm starting the chimney.
