No more trouble dealing with temps on 1 firebox much less 2, why connect them because draft and wind will always be changing and temps will run erratic,the attorney stands to make more than you will but good luck

Anyway I am considering a two fire box smoker but not for how you described. I would use it for having two different temps styles of smoking. My copper pot build actually has the ability to have two fires but I’ve yet to do use it that way. I know it will at some point though!
