Does freezing have an impact?

aldi is having ribs on sale again next week. We want to make ribs in late June for some friends that are moving near us. I’m wondering if I should stock up or if I should just hope there’s a deal on fresh when the date is here?

Well probably no more than they have been impacted already. The meats you buy in the store have been frozen then shipped to store. Might ask if they still have some frozen still as that would save in numbers of times that they have been frozen

I've bought meats before and froze before the best to use date. And had them a few months later with no issue. Kit S has good advice about buying some that are still frozen.

They'll be just fine. I think we all stock up when we see the sales and cram our already over stuffed freezers until we're ready to use

Freeze away.I have bought them,put them in the freezer and they got covered up.They get put on a milk carton,but since I don't drink milk I don't see they are missing.Find them the next year whilst digging and they turn out just fine.
BTW,I have an upright freezer!

Some are vac packed some are foam tray then wrapped .
See how they are marked in store .

I would have no problem freezing, if they are in the vac pac and the seal is not broke they will last a long time, not all stores get them in frozen, they will usually say previously frozen if they were,

Honestly I have bought fresh ribs & frozen ribs & I can't tell the difference in how they taste when they are done.
But my neighbor will not eat any meat that has been frozen. He says the cells break open & release water & then when cooked the meat is drier.
I never found that to be the case & he still eats my ribs, even though they were frozen. However I don't tell him they were frozen.

LOL! Agreed, no real difference to me either. I buy a bunch when on sale and around holidays they normally are.
