Hey,

I've looked around the forum search a bit but haven't been able to find this.

Is there a difference between these two smokers?  Is one an older model and one newer?  They look the same to me while watching videos or checking out photos that people have posted.

I ordered a Dyna Glo vertical offset from amazon, but it hasn't been shipped in 20 days so now looking at picking up the American Gourmet Offset Smoker, Deluxe.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here are the two links I've found:

Thanks

I think they are the same. I have the charbroil American gourmet offset  deluxe 1280. there is a smaller version as well. charbroil American gourmet 460 or something like that. hope that helps.  it seems like a ok smoker but is very thin metal. but the mods others suggest to doing to them do help, and I would deffinatly recommend doing them if you are looking at this offset.  hope this helps you. happy smoking

Thanks, that does help.  I've seen the difference in the 300 and 700 series of the American Gourmet, but wasn't sure about the 1280 I've seen around.  The mods don't look too crazy, seems like most people used some RTV silicone and some metal for a baffle.  Still looking at some other smokers before I decide which one to get
