I'm making another slab of bacon. I had made 2 gallons of pops brine. I tried to use Pops Brine but it wasn't enough water to cover it in my bucket so I added .5 gal water. And nothing else. Is it ok? Do I need to add more pink salt #1? Do I need to add anything? What should I add? Here's my brine recipe that I ended up with. 2.5 gal water 1tsp liquid smoke 2 cup brown sugar 2 cup white sugar 1.5 cup kosher salt 2 Tbsp of cure#1 Will it cure? Thanks in advance. Also I've ran out of cure #1.
