Good morning everyone, little bit of a storm here today , so working in the shop.
I am looking for any recipes that can be done in the smoker. I have searched on here and all that i come up with is an apple crisp. Is there a place that i am missing or can someone point me in the right direction. Thank you
David

We smoke bourbon pecan pies. They are tasty. The ingredients and pics are in this thread. Wife did the mixing so if you are interested I can get the actual recipe for you

Hi Jake those look amazing , i bookmarked the old thread so i can go back to it. I was not around here than, and that's why i tried a search .
So the crust worked in the smoker or did you do it ahead first in reg. oven.
The whole meal looked picture perfect. Thank you My wife finally just had her first pecan pie this year, she and i could not believe she never had one before
And if not problem that would be a yes to the recipe when you have a chance, no rush Thank you
David

These were the frozen store bought crusts but still raw. Straight into the smoker. They cook perfectly just gotta rotate it a couple times for evenness. I'll get you the recipe when she gets home

Your thread sparked my interest. I've smoked components for various deserts, but never tried a complete desert. So, searched for smoked deserts and found a slew of them. Most the same, but some interesting. I've attached 2 recipes, well one is a very detailed 14 page article with recipe(Serious Eats.pdf) that caught my attention and might be interesting to do. The cannoli is a "from scratch" recipe that uses liquid smoke while the smoked ice cream actually is 'smoked." I would skip the handmade cannoli wraps and buy them with the ricotta. Keep us in the loop on this. 🍻

perfect Jake that is what i was wondering , was the crust and if it would cook. Now in saying that i bet i could also do a graham cracker crust in the smoker for a cheese cake or even Mrs Bear's pies crust that i have done. But now also with a nice smoke flavor .

Thanks Wurstmeister for the 2 links, the ice cream looks good i started to read and it seems good. Saved the link. But yes i have made cannoli before . But yes easier to buy already made if short on time. Add it to my list after i make Jake's Smoked Bourbon Pecan Pie, now that i know i can cook the crust right in the smoker

Richie, i just found on that link to old thread this apple Rose from "chile " that looks real good also
Thanks
David
Those Apple Roses are lip smacking good.
So are Baked Apples, and they're much easier and less time consuming to make.

How about smoked vanilla beans?
I imagine you'll need to cold smoke them.
Thanks PolishDeli for the link and comment , i am not set up for real cold smoke yet , but think i can set it up on my smoker with the info here from everyone.
And who does not like ice cream. I am not a coffee lover at all. But i was given a 5 gallon bucket of coffee ice cream , i ate it but it took me a month, ha ha

Thanks chile for the link and they do look fantastic, HOPE you got your email problem fixed. I hate it when technology screws up.

Hi Jake , if you could find the recipe for the pie that would be great, no problem if you can't. Yours look like it set really well in the smoker, so that is why i would like to try your wife's one.
Thank you in advance

Sorry bud I totally forgot to send this.

I rotated in my smoker about every 15min. When it looks set up it's finished. Won't be fully firm until it cools for a few minutes. If you have any questions let me know

Perfect Jake , and no worries about the forgetting, its all good. I just printed it off. Did you have your smoker set at 375 deg. and thanks about the rotate every 15 minutes and not completely set until cooled.
