Dehydrating

Thanks for the info. I bought an American Harvester at Walmart tonight (about $45). I'm not really in to dehydrating (famous last words, eh?), per se, but I have another use...

Last weekend I made Tomato Pie per: http://www.bamaque.com/

It was absolutely great! I added some fresh Italian Parsley that I had. The aroma was fantastic. The only problem was that it was on the mushy side. I salted and drained per instructions. Then I put the tomatoes in a plastic container in the fridge for a couple hours and poured off more water, and it still ended on the mushy side.

I'm going to half-dry the tomatoes and put them in to the pie. This and a smoked brisket for Sunday supper.

Thanks Debi, Great information.
