RIP Dave. He was awesome with advice and knowledge. Help with my RF build. We had so many discussions about builds, heat and smoke flow.

Goodbye Dave!

OHHH Nooo... RIP my friend... He is definitely in the running for MVP here at SMF...

He helped me SO MUCH on the Tractor Build ... I followed his numbers to the T and man does that thing work flawlessly ...

His ham is to die for... (which it has been a long time since I've done one) ... I'm really bummed now...

Damn, Dave was a daily poster here when I started. I followed a lot of his cooks and recipes. RIP Sir. Your SMF family wont let your legacy go. Man we have lost too many good ones lately.

Well that certainly is some sad news if true. I came to the board rather late and found myself pouring over a bunch of his posts. I tried his ham cure and I've gone from detesting ham, due to the salt lick you get at the grocery store, to going back for seconds when I make it following his technique.

Thanks Brian for the news. Better knowing than not knowing.
Estate sale doesn't necessarily mean he is gone.
My thoughts go out to Dave and his family

Yes he is my first and only choice for the SMF Hall of Fame
Dave and I had some great conversations.

WOW he was so knowledgeable and I have much of his post book marked. When did he stop posting.

RIP Dave. :emoji_disappointed: You really imparted a lot of knowledge onto me. I am forever grateful.

OMG!!!! Dave was one of the greatest. Always concerned for the safety of others and always willing to give sage and solid advice. May you rest in peace my brother.

I wish I could find the narrative regarding his gastronomical episode. Funniest thing I have ever read. Made me pee I was laughing so hard. . .I will miss you my friend!

Really sorry to read this. He is one of those members whose knowledge will continue to contribute here long after he's gone.

RIP Dave.

RIP Dave. When I was looking to buy a smoker that did not ship to Canada he offered me to ship to his address which is 2 Hours away one of the nicest guys I have ever met.
