Damper for charcoal smoker. Help

I have a brinkmann gourmet smoke n grill charcoal smoker. It has no dampers for air control. I just came by two four and a quarter inch dampers with for three quarter inch holes on each at 2.99 each. A deal if you ask me. I'm trying to figure the best way to attach these to my smoke to Gain more air control. And other things I can do so I can lessen the babysitting. Any ideas

They only had two. That's why I ordered three more on Amazon. I hope they get here tomorrow, I want to finish my mods this weekend. Amazon has a set of three for 16 bucks. That includes shipping.
