I was down to my last jar, just can't be without these. We eat them On, In and everything.
I was even thinking of trying them on Ice Cream (Vanilla of course)
I didn't do but a couple of pics, really simple and fast.

This is 4 lbs of cut up Jalapenos

Here is the Recipe I use, It is not Mine but a darn good one.

Candied Jalapenos

Ingredients

· 3 pounds fresh firm, jalapeno peppers, washed

· 2 cups cider vinegar

· 6 cups white granulated sugar

· 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

· 1/2 teaspoon celery seed

· 3 teaspoons granulated garlic (or a few fresh cloves in each jar)

Instructions

1. Wearing gloves, remove the stems from all of the jalapeno peppers. The easiest way to do this is to slice a small disc off of the stem-end along with the stem. Discard the stems.

2. Slice the peppers into uniform 1/8-1/4 inch rounds. Set aside. (I like ¼ inch)

3. In a large pot, bring cider vinegar, white sugar, turmeric, celery seed, granulated and garlic to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the pepper slices and simmer for exactly 4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the peppers, loading into clean, sterile canning jars to within 1/4 inch of the upper rim of the jar. Turn heat up under the pot with the syrup and bring to a full rolling boil. Boil hard for 6 minutes.

4. Use a ladle to pour the boiling syrup into the jars over the jalapeno slices. Insert a cooking chopstick to the bottom of the jar two or three times to release any trapped pockets of air. Adjust the level of the syrup if necessary. Wipe the rims of the jars with a clean, damp paper towel and fix on new, two-piece lids to finger-tip tightness.

5. *If you have leftover syrup, and it is likely that you will, you may can it in half-pint or pint jars, too. It’s wonderful brushed on meat on the grill or added to potato salad or, or, or… In short, don’t toss it out!

6. Place jars in a canner, cover with water by 2-inches. Bring the water to a full rolling boil. When it reaches a full rolling boil, set the timer for 10 minutes for half-pints or 15 minutes for pints. When timer goes off, use canning tongs to transfer the jars to a cooling rack. Leave them to cool, undisturbed, for 24 hours. When fully cooled, wipe them with a clean, damp washcloth then label.

7. Allow to mellow for at least two weeks, but preferably a month before eating. Or don’t. I won’t tell!

Thanks

Gary

I bet if you ever forgot to wear gloves it was only once. Especially if you ever made the mistake of using the bathroom soon after
Made that mistake last week after I sliced up a couple jars worth of Habaneros for pickling...was not fun when I removed my contacts that night.

Like...I eat at least 2 Serrano's with every meal.
Too make those pickled Japeno's a little hotter add some a Habenero. Used to do that to all my pickled stuff...started having problems with vinegar setting right with me so gave up most of that process...miss it.

Hell yeah Gary this looks awesome! I've been doing jalapenos and habaneros in Al's garlic dill brine and they are great but I am going to give this a shot. Thanks for sharing!

I had an oyster shooter in a bar in seattle once. I've never shot one and didn't want to gag in front of gf so I took it to the bathroom and grabbed the oyster with my fingers and ate it. Drank the rest of the shooter liquid. Was at the bathroom so I said might as well go pee. Finished, washed hands, went back to the table. Moments later a small fire began below and it was getting worse by the minute. I ended up back in the bathroom with my berries in the sink splashing water on them. When guys walked in I just shook my head and said don't ask.

Man I want to do these! Probably the 3-4th time I've printed it. I would eat them on top of a cracker and cream cheese.

That's what I call "One Smart Cowboy!!!"
Like.

I have an almost full jar of those little treats, but they're only Pickled.
I should have given them to you when you were here, because nobody else here will eat them. I don't know how they got in my fridge, but every now & then I try a slice---Nope, not for me!! Ouch!!!

Hmmmmm interesting. Never thought of something like this. Looks simple enough. Sounds like it might worth trying, maybe....but it will be a little further down on the list.

My neighbor has a bunch of Jalapenos just about ready, I think they already put up all they want, May be canning a few more.

Don't forget to save some for Winter.
When that cold wind comes down from North Dakota, they can warm you up!!!
