Only had my Yoder a few weeks and decided to do two Boston butts I picked up from Sam's club.
Injected these with apple juice and rubbed with TastyLicks BBQ Original Rib Rub.
Also first time injecting, not sure if it added anything to the smoke.
Started at 8pm last night, we had winds between 22 and 30 mph so I turned the back into the wind
and use the welders blanket. Temps also dropped down into the upper 20's.
On at 240*. One on the tight took two hours longer.
Ready for foil, not much bark. Pulled at 165* foiled until they reached 203*.
Let both rest two hours in the cooler before pulling.
Pretty good for my first time on the YS640, only did butts two other times on a Weber gasser.
I left them with very little sauce since most of it was put into one pound bags and dropped off
to family. Not sure on yield since this is the first time doing a large quantity but 16 pounds
got me about 9 1/2 pounds of meat
